The all new ECOTEC header started life as a three dimensional computer model based on data provided by SEMA and GM. This insures the finished product will fit as well as the OEM exhaust manifold. The header features:
- 4-1 design for maximum flow
- Integrated EGR passage and oxygen sensor bung as the OEM manifold
- True bolt-on design with no welding required during installation
- Documented 12-14 front wheel horsepower gain on an otherwise unmodified engine.
- Heavy 3/8" flanges
- 1.71" primary tubes with near-equal length design
- All stainless steel construction followed by a high-temperature, cast gray finish
- Includes heavy .090 inch thick header-to-engine gaskets and header-to-downpipe gaskets. OEM gaskets are .020 inches thick. Stainless steel downpipe studs are also included.
- The header weighs 8.8 pounds vs. 12.2 for the OEM manifold.
